Owen's turn tonight....

The boys have started sleeping through the night...however, they only sleep through the night every other night, and they take turns waking up at 2AM each night. Last night it was Henry, so we expect it will be Owen tonight. We'll see. But if he looks this cute at 2AM, I won't mind too much. (Eating prunes tonight).
PS. Todd made a dental appointment.

Go team!

Today was our Walk America day to benefit March of Dimes. We walked 5.8 miles with our team, Team Owen Henry! It was a LONG walk, but we had a good time. The weather was perfect and there were a ton of people there! Good food, too! When we got home, all 6 of us (dogs included) took a 3 hour nap!!! Here are some pictures from the day.

And a funny picture of Henry from the other day in an outfit from Gramere. And a cute one of the two boys in outfits from their friends Craig and Kathryn.

Tech

What a sad, sad, couple of days for our country. It is incredibly tragic and sad what has happened at Virginia Tech this week. I can't peel my eyes from the news and check for updates constantly. I just can't imagine being a parent of one of those kids. I can't imagine being the parent of the gunman, either. What do you do? I told Owen and Henry that they are never leaving me to go to college or anywhere else. I will attach myself to them. It's like Runaway Bunny in our house. Yesterday Owen was practicing his "g" sounds and said "Go!" and I gave them both a long-winded lecture about how I wasn't going anywhere and I was going to follow them wherever they went. They found my ranting hilarious, especially because I sang most of the lecture operetta-style. Gilbert and Sullivan can take a seat, thankyouverymuch.

Our thoughts are with the families of the victims, the University students and alumni, and everyone affected by this horrible tragedy.

We love peas!

So we've tried sweet potatoes (loved 'em) and now we are eating peas and we love them even more! Next on the list is some kind of fruit...I don't remember what Daddy bought!
Since we've started our food and cereal, we've been sleeping longer at night and giving Daddy and Mommy a break sometimes. They appreciate it! :)
Here are some pics of us enjoying our peas. Henry first, then O.

Quickie...

Both boys had the exact same stats today at the doctor - totally weird.
Weight: 12 lbs 13 oz
Length: 23 1/4 inches
Head Circumference: 16 inches
Temp: 97.6
Got the go-ahead to start stage 1 food to try to get their formula intake down below 30 (they are at 40-45 right now) ounces. We tried prune juice with cereal yesterday and today. The batteries died before i could get Henry, but here's Oh-bow:

Longest post ever....

OK, get ready for it, folks. This is going to be the longest one yet. I have so much to say!!! What a surprise, heh? :)

This past weekend was a busy one - we had a good friends wedding to attend. I went Friday night to the rehearsal dinner with "the girls" and it was fun. The food was great. I was so tired by the end, I had to talk the entire way home to stay awake. Allie and Erin appreciated that, I'm sure.

Saturday was the wedding, and it was beautiful! Annie and I sang and it went well. The reception was at Sequoia in Georgetown and it was stunning. The view was gorgeous and once it got dark, they turned on a bunch of white lights outside. It was KINDA cold outside, so we stayed in, but it looked absolutely beautiful. Good music, good food. Steve and Betsy watched the boys and the boys were great! They slept for a while once we came home, which was nice.

Sunday we had many visitors and relaxed and Monday we had lunch with Daddy at his office where many of his coworkers said how big the boys had gotten! Hooray! Then we visited our twin friends, Daniel and Stephen, and played for a while. (The boys in Great Aunt Julia's hats):

Now on to our first ROAD TRIP with just Mom and the boys! We went to Baltimore to meet Debi, Melissa, and Bethany who we've become friends with on our twin message board. The boys and I left here around 9:15 and got to Baltimore around 10:45, then proceeded to get lost before finding the parking garage Daddy told us to park in. Once there, we unloaded and made our way to the Aquarium. Bethany was there waiting and we hung out and talked for a while. Once noon rolled around, we decided to call Debi and Melissa and sure enough - they were LOST! Luckily, Bethany lives in B-more, so she gave them directions. It didn't help though, because there was no parking, which led them to go to the hotel, which led Bethany and me to take ourselves to lunch! We ate lunch at California Pizza Kitchen right on the water and it was freezing!!! The breeze from the bay was blowing in the open windows. But it was all worth it when the manager bought us dessert because the kids were so cute. Yum-O!

We finally met up with Debi and Melissa and hilarity ensued....

First, most of the babies started pooping. 2 pooped through their clothes, and Owen pooped 3 times. The bathroom changing table was SOOOOO hot that we would come back sweating our butts off each time we went to change one. Finally, Debi decided to just change Will right there in the food court (good for her!) and dropped the poopy diaper on the floor. Owen then peed through his clothes and got a new outfit. Zachary, Ashton, Em, and Will all got new outfits and looked lovely in their Baltimore onesies. We got Starbucks and then headed out to the water for pictures. A creepy balloon guy took our picture and asked us approximately 10 times how we knew each other. Debi finally yelled "THE COMPUTER!"

Then we began our parade in honor of Superwoman Tonya. Many comments like "WHAT? Twins?" and "Whose babies are those?" and "Damn! Look at them babies!" were yelled out at us on our walk. We stopped at CVS to get some necessities, and realized the heat was set on 100 degrees in there. Phew! A bird divebombed my head then, and I screamed and ducked out of the way. Stupid pigeons!!! :)

We got to the hotel and the babies lost all control. Owen was screaming his head off, Emma was off her rocker, and Claire and Oriah started up after they realized how annoying Owen and Emma were! We tried a group picture, but as you can see, Owen's purple face and Emma's teary eyes sort of made it impossible to get a good one. Bethany and her girls left then, and we put the babies to sleep and then watched a DVD, and part of the Holiday (which now I have to rent since I couldn't make it to the end!) and drank wine. We ordered room service and then ate Doritos an hour later!

The babies were good all night, minus a few ear-piercing screams from a constipated Owen. After the first one, Debi gasped "Jesus!" and then Owen pooped out a little rock. Poor baby! Of course, I felt bad because my boys aren't sleeping through the night and we were all in the same room, but I don't think anyone minded. Melissa slept through it!!! :)

In the morning, the babies were much happier and had play time, then we made a hasty getaway into the overcast weather. It was SO awesome meeting our friends and we can't wait to have another day to go meet them! We heart Debi, Emma, Will, Melissa, Zachary, Ashton, Bethany, Oriah, and Claire!!!!

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
