Uh oh!

Henry is leading the way with a new talent. He figured out how to pull out a bin that was under the table, stand on it, and climb up to the table. Then he played with Daddy's TV! I know, it was a bad mommy to grab the camera before helping my child to safety, but I had to.

On another note, Owen fell down the stairs at a friends house yesterday. Poor baby! It was just a few stairs, but it scared the crap out of me!!!! He has few bruises today, but he's fine. We enjoyed a yummy lunch with our friends yesterday at Ruby Tuesdays after playing for a while.

Homage to Henry

My handsome man:

Henry is very artistic and loves to paint. He was the only one who didn't eat the paint the other day:

I get this look at least once a day. I think he's saying "Mom, get that camera out of my face."

Goofy Guy:

WHAT A BIG BOY:

Henry enjoying his Valentine's cake:

Having fun at Home

Today we experimented with cotton balls and newspaper strips. We deduced the following:
1. Cotton balls don't taste very good
2. Cotton balls can't be thrown very easily
3. We say "ball" 8,452,094 times when confronted with a bowl of cotton balls
4. Newspaper strips don't taste very good
5. Newspaper strips turn our tongues black.

I was attempting to dress Owen up like Teddy Roosevelt, but he wouldn't let me. I included this picture so you could see the lovely American flag he made today in the background. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's Henry, wishing you a Happy Heart Day!:

The boys had fun this morning playing with their instruments:

My lovebug Owen:

Handsome Hen:

We went to Clearview today to see Miss Clara and her mommy. Bad Mommy forgot the camera. We got to see a lot of friends, too! It was a great visit.
We are having a special dinner and dessert for V-day tonight. Mommy and Daddy might have some wine.
Check out last year's Valentine's blog here.
Happy Love Day!

Worst daughter ever....

....that's me. My Mother (Grandmere) has been in Paris since January. Have I sent 1 card? 1 package? Nope. I am the worst daughter ever. Sorry, Mom. J'taime.

In my efforts to put together a valentine package for my Mom, I had the boys make a fabulous art project. Did I mail the package? Nope. By the time I do, it will be time for Mom to come home. And I have eaten some of the candy hearts anyway. Worst daughter ever.

I hope she will accept a visit from the boys and me in the future - they need to see Chicago in the spring.

Here is the lovely painting we made together for our wonderful Gramere!!!!

Special People
On Valentine’s Day, we think of people
who have cheered and encouraged us,
who go out of their wayto be kind and caring,
who have enriched our lives
just by being themselves.
You are such a person.
I’m so happy you’re my Mom.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lesson in democracy

I voted!

We ALL voted!!!

"What? I'm not telling you who I voted for!":
"Uh oh....did we cancel each other out?":

The boys enjoyed the attention they got at the polling place. There were many more democrats checked off on the list than republicans. A good sign. Hopefully that will be the case in November.

And always ends like this:
