I just made a huge pot of 1 point weight watchers veggie soup, put it into 4 lunch containers and 3 dinner containers. I did the same with salad. I measured 1 tbs of parmesan cheese into ziplock baggies for each bowl of soup, put a tbs of salad dressing into little containers for my salads, and got 4 fat free yoplaits and some vita muffins for the week. IT'S DETOX TIME, BABY.
The dogs and I took a long walk today, I went to target, I got some new shoes, I browsed wegmans, I straightened my hair, I cleaned a few cabinets and the fridge, I watched "Men who stare at Goats," and I am about to go to choir practice. Busy as a bee. I mostly can't believe I didn't lay on my butt all day and nap. Good for me.

Me in high school
A friend just posted this picture on facebook of me in a HS drama production.
A la Jack Sh*t Gettin' Fit, my version of "The Way We Were" (youtube link here to Babs)
Memories, light the corners of my thighs.
Misty watercolor memories of the weight we were.
Scattered pictures of the pounds on our behinds
pounds we gained with one another!
Look at the weight we were.
Can it be that it was all so simple then or has the USDA rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to eat it all again tell me would we? Could we?
Memories, may be super skinny and yet...what's too healthy to remember...we simply choose to forget
So it's the weight we will remember...whenever we remember...the weight we were.

Kickin' it
Creating a "bucket list." Lame? Not lame? Jinx-worthy? (Like, if I create a bucket list for myself is that just asking a bus to run my ass over?) I have some good ideas for my own list and I've been reading a lot of other people's lists, too. If I were going to not jinx myself and create a list of things I'd like to do here are some of my ideas:
1. Finish the damn t-shirt quilt that I started when I was pregnant with the boys.
2. Learn how to use grandma's sewing machine and sew some stuff!
3. Spend an entire summer on a beach somewhere.
4. Go to Africa.
5. Finish my bucket list.

A monumental moment
I went to the CDC website and calculated my BMI. Check out my results. This is the first time I've been in the "normal" range in at least 4 years. At least.
Results
Height: 5 feet, 9 inches
Weight: 168.6 pounds
Your BMI is 24.9, indicating your weight is in the Normal category for adults of your height.
For your height, a normal weight range would be from 125 to 169 pounds.
Maintaining a healthy weight may reduce the risk of chronic diseases associated with overweight and obesity.
BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5—24.9 Normal
25.0—29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese

Oh, Google, you are so knowledgeable and a little dirty, too.
What Does Google Know About Me?
Type in "[your name] needs"
Jane needs to find an introduction to alcoholism so she can decide what aspect of the disease is most interesting to her.
The most interesting part to me right now is the drinking part.
"[your name] looks like"
Jane looks like the bride of Frankenstein.
I just had a baby! Wait, does that excuse work anymore?
"[your name] wants"
All Jane wants is a nice cup of tea.
Yes, yes I do.
"[your name] does"
This one didn't work well....it thought I was saying "Jane Doe's." Lots of legal shit.
"[your name] hates"
Jane hates child molesters.
Again, yes I do.
"[your name] asks"
Jane asks "Where have the scary vampires gone?"
Excellent question.
"[your name] likes"
Jane likes Dick.
Does google live in my brain??
"[your name] eats"
Jane eats sweets.
Only ALL THE TIME!
"[your name] wears"
Jane wears jeans.
(#2 was "Baby Jane wears a Burqa.")
"[your name] was arrested for"
Jane arrested for beating a woman.
This is entirely possible. The zoo lady, the neighborhood dog lady, the mother of the kid who pooped in the pool yesterday, the girl who called me a bitch at the bar that one time, and of course the step class instructor. All of these were very near misses.
"[your name] loves"
Jane loves Dick.
Sigh.
Now you try it!
