Cutesies on a new rug.

We got a new rug for the living room today so the boys can have more space to play. They like it. :)

Fun in the sun

We've had a very busy week! We spent last weekend in Richmond and relaxed, played, and ate a lot. We went to the pool but the water was freezing. Owen and Dad swam, but Henry was too scared to go in (as usual!) so he hung out and ate popsicles with Dad. Owen and Grandpa modeled their sunglasses - cool dudes.

Dad and Owen swimming:

Mom, Owen, and Henry drove to the Outer Banks to meet Grandpa, Betsy, Daisy, and Ashley for a week at the beach. The house was great, and we had a great time hanging out in the pool and playing in the living room. It was wonderful!!!

And, finally, Henry decided the pool IS cool and ventured out in his floatie, too:

We are glad to be home with Dad, now! Henry learned how to say "hi" at the beach, but he hasn't shown Dad his new trick yet. And Owen started saying "yayayaya" when he is tired. So cute. Henry is also rolling and trying to crawl, so it's time to baby-proof this joint!!! Fun times!

A long way to Roanoke....

We had a mom and boys trip to Roanoke this week with our twin friends, Will and Emma, Sean and Owen, and Piper and Tuesday. We also saw Debi, Steph, Tina, Terri, Delaney, and Jessica. It was fun!!! Tuesday, we met Debi and fam here at our house, then set out for Roanoke. We drove through torrential rain and saw lightening strike about 5 feet from my car. It was LOUD!!! We all screamed.

Once we got to the hotel, we stripped down and ate dinner and went to sleep! All the Mom's stayed up talking and hanging out. Here's a picture of the boys in the hotel, Owen showing us his latest toe-eating trick.

Wednesday morning, we ventured to downtown Roanoke where we met Miss Piper and Miss Tuesday and Mommy JK. We had lunch and ice cream at a local food court and then went to the Science Museum. We met many crazy folks...our favorite stranger quote being "Oh, Damn!"

Here's a cute picture of Sean, Owen, and Delaney:

And a picture for Grandpa:

After the museum, we dragged our tired babes back to the hotel and fed them. Here's a shot of the boys of room 420 in their matching diapers. :)

We all got dressed in matching shirts (Thanks, Terri!!!) and posed for some pictures. Unfortunately, at the same time, Mom left her camera in the room and no one had a key!! By the time someone came to let us in, all hell had broken loose and almost all babies were crying. So, I will post some pictures of the whole group when I get them from another Mom.

Thursday morning, we made our way to IHOP and took some Mommy pictures, too. Here is Steph with her huge plate of chocolate-chip pancakes.

All the Moms, then Jane and JK:

As usual, we had a great time with our twin friends and can't wait for our next meeting!!!

Too cool for pool

We had so much fun hanging out with Anna and Kristen yesterday!!! Anna was a brave girl and finally convinced Owen it was nice enough to hang out in the pool. Maybe she just wanted his hat.....
They both had a great time splashing around in the baby pool.

Henry, on the other hand, did NOT like the water. He preferred his lounge chair in the shade:

We had a Happy FATHER's DAY today. Went to lunch, to Best Buy, and the pool. Again, Owen had a good time, but Henry was petrified. It was pretty cold, even for us, so we just stayed for 15 minutes. The boys gave Daddy a new coffeemaker for Father's Day and also a mousepad with their pictures on it.

Before our bath each night, we play in the hallway, and tonight the boys were feeling especially frisky. It won't be long until they are crawling all over the place!

Last day of school tomorrow! Woo hoo!!

4 years and counting...

We had a nice anniversary at our usual restaurant, the Melting Pot. We went with the full course, of course! Cheese, meats, chocolate, and of course, wine! It was nice. Jane and Shannon watched the boys and had a blast. Happy Anniversary!

Weekend events....mostly a blur....

We had an uneventful weekend, really. Mommy was sick on Friday, so Daddy took the boys to day care and Mom tried to sleep off the fever. So, most of our weekend events were cancelled and we stayed in to take care of her.

Two seconds later, not having as much fun:

We did get out to Relay For Life Saturday afternoon, dragging, but we made it. Here's a cute picture of Daddy and Owen cuddling in the tent.

Owen and Henry enjoying some tummy time.

Their six month appointment last week was good. The doctor said they look great (he said Mom and Dad look good too!) and they were growing well. Owen was the big boy weighing in at 15 lbs, 5 oz. Our little peanut Henry weighed 14 lbs, 9 oz! We forgot to ask the doctor about Owen's projectile puking, which has been happening every other day or so. Not sure why, he is perfectly happy...so, we shall see what happens this week.

Planning another twin outing next week! Bet you can't wait for those purple-faced pictures!!!

Our first family "vacation"!

We drove up to Maryland on Friday for Craig and Kathryn's wedding. It was a good time, and the boys did a great job at their first wedding!!!!
This is a picture of 4 of us rehearsing to sing at the wedding. Me, Hilary, Keli, and Annie. Loved my high G. Ugh.

This is the boys relaxin' at the hotel before we left for the rehearsal:

Here is a family picture from the rehearsal dinner and a picture of each of the boys in their Hawaiian outfits from their grandparents. Owen is in Orange.

This morning, we met our friends Bethany, Carrie, Oriah, and Claire again. We all had breakfast together, and took some pictures of the twins on the lobby couch. It was so great to see them again and great to meet Carrie! We love our twin friends!

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
