Another wedding!

We took another trip to Roanoke this weekend for the wedding of Bethany and Tripp! Bethany and I went to high school together and lived next door to each other. Her family and my family have been friends for years.

We got to Roanoke and the boys ate their applesauce:

Then we went downtown and roamed around, tried on cute dresses, and shoved our way through the farmers market crowd. We also bought the new Harry Potter and read chapter 1 while getting ready for the wedding.

The wedding was a lot of fun, and the boys had a good time, too. (Yes, I wore the same dress to two weddings in a row, and I will probably wear it to the wedding we have in 2 weeks, too. Sorry for the faux pas.)

Daisy, Henry, and me:

Grandpa and Henry laughing:

Daisy and Owen:

Dad actually sang karaoke!!! Here he is singing "The Lady is a Tramp" to the bride. He was great!

The next day:

After the wedding, we headed back to the Hotel Roanoke with two very sleepy boys. In the morning, we got up and drove halfway home to Harrisonburg and checked out JMU (our alma mater). It has changed a lot! So much construction. We showed the boys the arboretum and the Boston Beanery, where Todd and I had our first date. Then we met our friends Beth and Stuart for lunch at Ruby Tuesday. Here is Owen eating the menu and Beth laughing at him:

When we got home, we went for a walk and played on the playground swings for a while. They boys had a great time.

"I feel so free!!!!!"
"So relaxing, I might fall asleep...."

The other boys waited patiently for us to stop swinging:

And I just love the next picture. I took it, of course, but I think it's just a fabulous picture. Todd and Owen:

Have a good week, everyone!!!

I love my brother!

The boys are getting so cute lately and playing together so well. They laugh at each other, and scream for each other, and the other day I caught them holding hands while in their exersaucers. It was a wonderful moment. Sometimes, in thinking about how they are our children, we forget that they have a special relationship with each other, too. We just hope that they will remain friends for their whole lives - we have heard too many stories about twins not speaking to each other because of some silly falling-out. As parents, I think our most important lesson will be "Family loves you no matter what."

Look at those cute booties!!!

No babies in this one.....

This weekend, we went to Hilary and Gannon's wedding. It was our first night away from the boys! Grandma and Grandpa Waldrop and Aunt Kim babysat and had a great time.

Here are some pictures from the wedding. It was a BLAST and so great to hang out with friends.

Take me out to the ballgame!

Happy Belated 4th of July!
We went All-American, and took the boys to their first baseball game! (Thanks, Grandpa!!!)
They did pretty well, but we're scared of the loud noises. We saw a grand slam, so it was a great game!!! Too bad the Cubs didn't win! :)

After the game, we went back to Grandpa's and hung out with Great grandpa and Great grandma! It was a lot of fun. We got a 4 generation picture, too. And we all dressed the same! :) Grandpa made shishkebobs and we all enjoyed the company and food. The boys didn't make it to the firewords, but Mom and Dad enjoyed them from the bedroom window. All in all, a great 4th this year.

Family Outing

Today was a fun day! The boys tried sippy cups with juice this morning. Henry didn't get it, but Owen did! He had a fun time drinking it, tossing it, and slamming it around.

We ventured to Harpers Ferry today. We had never been, and it was a beautiful day! There were people swimming in the river and a lot of families wandering around.

Here's the main church in the town with the old railroad in front. To get to the church, you have to walk up steps carved into the mountain - very cool.

We had to ride a bus from the main visitors center to the town - the boys had a fun time on the bus, as you can see. :)

We took some family photos at the point where the Shenendoah River runs into the Potomac and had a picnic lunch by the side of the Shenendoah.

It was a fun day, and a nice drive through the country to get there. I am hoping the zoo will be our next outing. :) Baby panda!!!

Cutesies on a new rug.

We got a new rug for the living room today so the boys can have more space to play. They like it. :)

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
