Toy, Yogurt, Book, and Daddy Love.
This first picture is the McDonald's toy the boys got yesterday. What the-?
The boys enjoying yogurt:
Mr. Magoo reading his animal book this morning. He gave himself a marker tatt this morning, which is why he looks so tough.
Mr. Man looking for Daddy.....Are you in there???
Hugs for Daddy:
Yes, I did make this, thankyouverymuch.
Thanks to Saucy (a blogger I love!) for the instructions to make this awesome diaper cake! I made this last weekend for a baby shower for one of my friends. She is having a Henry, too!! It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to meet the next Henry! :)

1 week down.
Finished the first week of work. Kids start on Tuesday. Here is my news, bulleted of course:
- I am slacking on pictures...sorry GaGa. I don't even know where the camera is right now. I will take some this weekend.
- My favorite student of all time transferred to another school. He was one of those people that was making my return to school bearable. Now I'm not so sure. At least I still have Clara's Mommy.
- After our bad interview, we hired this rockin' lady to be my music counterpart 2 days a week. After she walked out, I told my bosses that they should fire me and hire her. I will need to think of a nickname for her. I am leaning towards The Bomb.
- Owen and Henry's new favorite word is "no" and it is cracking me up. They say "no" to everything now. Everything.
- Got news that Tuesday got to ride in the wagon today with her sister and even got to make a trip outside. So great.
- That speech rocked. You know what I'm talkin' about.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday (Flashback!)

Tuesday update: Little TuTu has been discharged from the PICU! She is now in the oncology ward and has gotten to visit with her sister, Piper. She ate some applesauce and has been smiling and watching TV. Go, girl! You can read more details at Sharlene's blog and can check for updates at JK's blog.

Things not to say in an interview for a music teaching position
"If a kid is being really bad, I'd have to kick them out."
"I just took my praxis for the fifth time and am waiting for scores."
"I don't have a discipline plan."
"I just don't put up with kids being bad."
"I've only spent 45 minutes in an elementary classroom."
"Um...if you came into my classroom? Uh....we'd be singing, I guess. And moving."

Holy screaming, Batman!
The boys had their first (almost) full day at daycare. I dropped them off at 8:00 and Mr. Magoo's eyes filled with tears as he lifted his arms and cried "Uppa! Uppa!" It was heartbreaking. But I called at lunchtime, and Ms. Chrissy said they were doing great and only cried a minute or two after I left. She also said they were having trouble getting them down for a nap. Uh oh....
So, T and I picked them up and they had not had a nap. They were so tired, with bags under their eyes and lots of eye-rubbing. We made it home and Mr. Man fell asleep on my lap while we waited for Friday Pizza. That was a mistake. He woke up and brought his nightmares with him....screaming, throwing himself around, clinging to me for dear life. Poor baby was so tired he just didn't know what to do with himself.
They went to bed at 6:40. Too early?
Tuesday Update: We just got word that she was taken off the ventilator! Hopefully she makes this transition well and can concentrate on getting rid of her cancer. Her Mom's blog is here.

TT (11)
Only 6 more days.
I will miss the boys very much.
But this new nap phase?
Where they don't sleep? And just scream?
Yeah. Not gonna miss that one.

Which way to the zoo?
We went to the zoo again today. It rocked. The boys loved it and were great. The animals were active, despite the lack of animal pictures. We saw the lions playing in their pool, orangutans being fed, swimming turtles, cheetahs, zebras, and some fun farm animals. Oh, we saw a donkey peeing, too. That's a lot of pee.
Here are the boys watching some monkeys, and then watching the goats:
After lunch, Mr. O fell asleep, but Mr. H was having nothing to do with naps. He and T walked around and saw some animals while O and I enjoyed the lovely day.
We looked at a lot of animals, then had a picnic on the hill. Don't you love it when kids "sit" like this?![]()
Mr. Magoo wouldn't give up the goldfish, and since he never napped, he was TI-YERD. He spent an hour doing this:
While Mr. Man who took a nap spent the hour doing this:
(That last one, what a model!!!)
Bathtub woes
I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
