My favorite news quotes of the day:
"Republicans are watching what once may have seemed like a brilliant idea turn into a riskier proposition each day." link
"Yes, and I say this with sadness because I greatly admire John McCain, a man of intelligence, honor and enormous personal and political courage. However, for him to choose Sara Palin to be his running mate is fundamentally irresponsible. He did not put the country first with this decision. Whether it is appropriate or not, considering Sen. McCain's age most people expected to have a vice presidential candidate who would be ready to step in at a moment's notice. The actuarial odds of that happening are significant, something like a one-in-five chance." link
"“I think she has pretty thoroughly — and probably irretrievably — proven that she is not up to the job of being president of the United States,” David Frum, a former speechwriter for President Bush who is now a conservative columnist, said in an interview." link
"The alarm bells should be clanging and warning lights flashing. You wouldn’t put an unqualified pilot in the cockpit of a jetliner. The potential for catastrophe is far, far greater with an unqualified president." link

And for the dumbass quote of the day (from Fox News, of course):
Americans aren't interested in foreign issues. They are only concerned with domestic issues.
That is a paraphrase but that's what the newscaster was in response to Palin's spokesperson who was attempting to explain why Palin did not give coherent foreign policy answers during her interview with Katie Couric.
I take it you don't like Sarah... LMAO
