Tonya's name made it in the title!!!

The boys and I drove to Baltimore today to meet some twin friends! Our BFF's Claire, Oriah, and Bethany so nicely took us out for breakfast to a cute place called "Cafe Hon" where we were a sight to behold. One man told us we made his day because he got to see us, and our waitress kept telling us how hard it must be to raise twins! Breakfast was yum-o.

Then we met Tonya, Randy, Jayden, Flynn, and Marisol at the Baltimore Science Museum. It was great, but as always with these twin meetings, too short. We got to lay on a bed of nails, listen to digestive sound effects (the vomit one was lovely), watch Randy and Jayden play tug of war, be the highlight of the cafeteria ladies, play on a waterbed with the babies, have a balancing contest (I think I won in the end, ha ha), and we ALL fit in the elevator!!!!

Can't wait to see Tonya and her crew again on Tuesday.

Another wedding!

We took another trip to Roanoke this weekend for the wedding of Bethany and Tripp! Bethany and I went to high school together and lived next door to each other. Her family and my family have been friends for years.

We got to Roanoke and the boys ate their applesauce:

Then we went downtown and roamed around, tried on cute dresses, and shoved our way through the farmers market crowd. We also bought the new Harry Potter and read chapter 1 while getting ready for the wedding.

The wedding was a lot of fun, and the boys had a good time, too. (Yes, I wore the same dress to two weddings in a row, and I will probably wear it to the wedding we have in 2 weeks, too. Sorry for the faux pas.)

Daisy, Henry, and me:

Grandpa and Henry laughing:

Daisy and Owen:

Dad actually sang karaoke!!! Here he is singing "The Lady is a Tramp" to the bride. He was great!

The next day:

After the wedding, we headed back to the Hotel Roanoke with two very sleepy boys. In the morning, we got up and drove halfway home to Harrisonburg and checked out JMU (our alma mater). It has changed a lot! So much construction. We showed the boys the arboretum and the Boston Beanery, where Todd and I had our first date. Then we met our friends Beth and Stuart for lunch at Ruby Tuesday. Here is Owen eating the menu and Beth laughing at him:

When we got home, we went for a walk and played on the playground swings for a while. They boys had a great time.

"I feel so free!!!!!"
"So relaxing, I might fall asleep...."

The other boys waited patiently for us to stop swinging:
Mom and the boys on the big swing:

And I just love the next picture. I took it, of course, but I think it's just a fabulous picture. Todd and Owen:

Have a good week, everyone!!!

I love my brother!

The boys are getting so cute lately and playing together so well. They laugh at each other, and scream for each other, and the other day I caught them holding hands while in their exersaucers. It was a wonderful moment. Sometimes, in thinking about how they are our children, we forget that they have a special relationship with each other, too. We just hope that they will remain friends for their whole lives - we have heard too many stories about twins not speaking to each other because of some silly falling-out. As parents, I think our most important lesson will be "Family loves you no matter what."

Look at those cute booties!!!

No babies in this one.....

This weekend, we went to Hilary and Gannon's wedding. It was our first night away from the boys! Grandma and Grandpa Waldrop and Aunt Kim babysat and had a great time.

Here are some pictures from the wedding. It was a BLAST and so great to hang out with friends.

Oh, and I think our camera is broken. I recall dropping it at some point, but maybe that was a dream.....

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
