Quickie...

Both boys had the exact same stats today at the doctor - totally weird.
Weight: 12 lbs 13 oz
Length: 23 1/4 inches
Head Circumference: 16 inches
Temp: 97.6
Got the go-ahead to start stage 1 food to try to get their formula intake down below 30 (they are at 40-45 right now) ounces. We tried prune juice with cereal yesterday and today. The batteries died before i could get Henry, but here's Oh-bow:

Longest post ever....

OK, get ready for it, folks. This is going to be the longest one yet. I have so much to say!!! What a surprise, heh? :)

This past weekend was a busy one - we had a good friends wedding to attend. I went Friday night to the rehearsal dinner with "the girls" and it was fun. The food was great. I was so tired by the end, I had to talk the entire way home to stay awake. Allie and Erin appreciated that, I'm sure.

Saturday was the wedding, and it was beautiful! Annie and I sang and it went well. The reception was at Sequoia in Georgetown and it was stunning. The view was gorgeous and once it got dark, they turned on a bunch of white lights outside. It was KINDA cold outside, so we stayed in, but it looked absolutely beautiful. Good music, good food. Steve and Betsy watched the boys and the boys were great! They slept for a while once we came home, which was nice.

Sunday we had many visitors and relaxed and Monday we had lunch with Daddy at his office where many of his coworkers said how big the boys had gotten! Hooray! Then we visited our twin friends, Daniel and Stephen, and played for a while. (The boys in Great Aunt Julia's hats):

Now on to our first ROAD TRIP with just Mom and the boys! We went to Baltimore to meet Debi, Melissa, and Bethany who we've become friends with on our twin message board. The boys and I left here around 9:15 and got to Baltimore around 10:45, then proceeded to get lost before finding the parking garage Daddy told us to park in. Once there, we unloaded and made our way to the Aquarium. Bethany was there waiting and we hung out and talked for a while. Once noon rolled around, we decided to call Debi and Melissa and sure enough - they were LOST! Luckily, Bethany lives in B-more, so she gave them directions. It didn't help though, because there was no parking, which led them to go to the hotel, which led Bethany and me to take ourselves to lunch! We ate lunch at California Pizza Kitchen right on the water and it was freezing!!! The breeze from the bay was blowing in the open windows. But it was all worth it when the manager bought us dessert because the kids were so cute. Yum-O!

We finally met up with Debi and Melissa and hilarity ensued....

First, most of the babies started pooping. 2 pooped through their clothes, and Owen pooped 3 times. The bathroom changing table was SOOOOO hot that we would come back sweating our butts off each time we went to change one. Finally, Debi decided to just change Will right there in the food court (good for her!) and dropped the poopy diaper on the floor. Owen then peed through his clothes and got a new outfit. Zachary, Ashton, Em, and Will all got new outfits and looked lovely in their Baltimore onesies. We got Starbucks and then headed out to the water for pictures. A creepy balloon guy took our picture and asked us approximately 10 times how we knew each other. Debi finally yelled "THE COMPUTER!"

Then we began our parade in honor of Superwoman Tonya. Many comments like "WHAT? Twins?" and "Whose babies are those?" and "Damn! Look at them babies!" were yelled out at us on our walk. We stopped at CVS to get some necessities, and realized the heat was set on 100 degrees in there. Phew! A bird divebombed my head then, and I screamed and ducked out of the way. Stupid pigeons!!! :)

We got to the hotel and the babies lost all control. Owen was screaming his head off, Emma was off her rocker, and Claire and Oriah started up after they realized how annoying Owen and Emma were! We tried a group picture, but as you can see, Owen's purple face and Emma's teary eyes sort of made it impossible to get a good one. Bethany and her girls left then, and we put the babies to sleep and then watched a DVD, and part of the Holiday (which now I have to rent since I couldn't make it to the end!) and drank wine. We ordered room service and then ate Doritos an hour later!

The babies were good all night, minus a few ear-piercing screams from a constipated Owen. After the first one, Debi gasped "Jesus!" and then Owen pooped out a little rock. Poor baby! Of course, I felt bad because my boys aren't sleeping through the night and we were all in the same room, but I don't think anyone minded. Melissa slept through it!!! :)

In the morning, the babies were much happier and had play time, then we made a hasty getaway into the overcast weather. It was SO awesome meeting our friends and we can't wait to have another day to go meet them! We heart Debi, Emma, Will, Melissa, Zachary, Ashton, Bethany, Oriah, and Claire!!!!

We are definitely identical!

I had my first major mixup the other day. It didn't help that daycare changed their outfits and just happened to put Owen in the matching outfit that Henry had on in the morning...so I mixed them up all the way until about 5:30 when Grandpa Bills was feeding Owen (who I thought was Henry) and I picked up Henry (who I thought was Owen) and noticed his bald spot. Then I said "Wait a minute!!!! Is that Owen?!" My Dad said "I don't know! You said it was Henry!" Realization: I mixed them up for the longest spurt ever - over 2 hours. MO-OM!! I wonder how many times through the years I will hear that, huh?
Here are pictures of my identical boys. Can you tell who is who??? Email me if you can. :)

4 cups of coffee later....

Morning! We've had a busy weekend so far! Grandma and Grandpa Waldrop came for the weekend (Zack, too!) and we've been playing with them and showing them how we can laugh and talk and play! We went to a hibachi restaurant last night for Betsy's birthday and it was fun! Henry had a few meltdowns, but he enjoyed watching the chef cook our yummy food! Aunt Daisy and Mommy had a meltdown, too, but it was a laughing meltdown!!! Owen slept through the entire thing! Here are some pictures from Saturday:

Does this baby look sick to you???

AW! Our first fever and cold. Henry has a fever and we are staying home from daycare today. Owen might be right behind him, as his congestion is getting worse. They have their moments, but are mostly in good spirits! Here's a pic of Henry after his tylenol kicked in! (Secret: Mom is enjoying the time at home with her boys again...)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had a busy and fun St. Patty's Day this year! The boys, Laura, and I went to a twin b-day party where our friends twins were turning one! There was also a set of 19 month old boy twins that were running around like crazy. I asked the mom, "Who do you think has it worse? You or me?" and she said "I hate to say it, but I do...." Oh great! You mean it gets harder than this!!! :)
Here is a pic of me reading a book to Henry - he made it about halfway before he decided he wasn't interested anymore. After the party, we came home and rested a bit, then went to my Dad's house for his annual corned beef and cabbage.

Here are some pictures of our St. Patrick's Day party at my Dad's house. We had a good time, lots of good food, company, and we stayed up way too late!!!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Todd had his 29th birthday yesterday and we had a good time. This pic isn't from yesterday (Bad Mommy didn't take any pictures) but it is a cute one of Daddy and his boys. We had chocolate cake and leftovers for dinner. Mom and Dad did get to go out to lunch to celebrate, which was a fun time and very filling! It was strange being out without the boys.

Todd got new Ipod speakers from the boys, a puzzle book from Jane, an addicting golf ball game from Steve, Betsy, and Daisy, a Starbucks card from his parents, and some money from some others! :) All in all, a good time. And next year is a leap year, so he'll have one extra day to be 29.

Another photo shoot

We set the boys up AGAIN for a photo shoot. Both were so smiley, we couldn't resist. We got the funniest picture of them. What cuties!!
Here's one of each of the boys, Owen first, posing for the camera. Couldn't they be models?? We sure think so!!!

Brothers

We had a photo shoot last night of the boys in their cute outfits. Henry was especially happy last night! There's also a picture of Owen this morning saying good morning to Mommy and Daddy - these boys love the sunrise! :)

Bumbo Time!

Mom stopped at Target last week and got the boys their first Bumbo seat. Now she has to go back and get another because they love it so much!!! This seat is a relatively new thing that helps babies with strengthening their necks and backs because it makes them sit up. We had a fun time sitting in our Bumbo and Henry even took a nap on the dinner table in it.

We had a good weekend hanging out with Mom and Dad - we slept too much, though, and had a LONG night last night!!! But, we will hopefully get back on schedule with Miss Pat at daycare. We had our first try of rice cereal Saturday night. We ate well, but our tummies didn't like it so much yet. So, we'll wait a few weeks and try again. We had fun eating with a spoon, though!!

And finally, a pic of Owen in his Ralph Lauren outfit grandma Bills sent him. Too stylish!!!

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
