we're out of bananas foster

Seriously. Would our waiter (Victor) joke about such a thing as being out of bananas foster?
Date night. First in a long time. We had a great time.

I'll be waiting for my check in the mail.

SO, here I am, ready to endorse my first product. As Seen on TV!!! I bought the "Ped Egg" today at Target, on a whim, on sale. My mother, my husband, and my children can attest to the fact that I have....um....ODD big toes. Every pedicure I've ever had, they say, "Do you wear heels every day?" Nope. I just have a weird big toe callous. I don't know why, I don't know how. It just appears. Well, friends, I have found the solution. I have seen the light. I have felt the results and they are SMOOTH. If I were able to put my big toe on this computer and you could feel it, I would blindfold you and you'd have to tell me if it is my big toe you are feeling or a baby's butt. You. Would. Hesitate. Trust me.

oooooh, a REAL award!!

Look! I didn't even have to make up an award this time!!
I got this from Tonya! She and I have been friends since we were pregnant with twins together. Last year, she and her famly ventured to the east coast and the boys and I got to meet her. Check out her blog, it's fab fab fab!

I think everyone has gotten this award except me....so I have to do some blog hunting before I pass it on. :)

What really bothers me

Is not that people think Barack Obama is Muslim....
...but that it would matter if he were.

Mommy Bootcamp #2

Today's class was easier than the first. Not because of the exercises (crap, those were harder) but because of the weather. No humidity, a slight breeze....ahhhhh. Exercises today consisited of sprint relays, hurdles (my god.), football hoopy run things, and running up and down a big hill. That last one sucked the most.

A friend from my high school is in the class and we haven't talked since high school! So, that was fun catching up with her, too.

Hopefully I won't fall asleep while the kids play this morning. (Ha ha, Kami, just kidding....just seeing if you are paying attention!) :) :)

Phew.

I just spent the past 3 hours reading this blog: http://boobsinjuriesanddrpepper.blogspot.com/

I went through all of her "Crazy Chronicles" and it is so sad and surreal. You can't imagine the things this woman has been through, lived through, and writes about so well. I think she might be my new idol.

Fun Nanny Wanted.
Someone to play with 4 kids,
Take them to the park,
Sing songs, do art, teach them stuff.
School holidays off. Great deal.
mary poppins
(No really. If anyone knows someone, send them my way.)

I'm alive.

Just barely.

Later....
OK, feeling good now. I know I will be sore, but it'll get easier (or so Todd and Tonya say....) The class was pretty intense with a lot of cardio bursts ("Wait, you want me to sprint?!") and squats ("No seriously, my legs will fall off.") The class started with a warmup that I thought was harder than any workout I've had in 2 years. Lots of jumping. Lots of calf pain. Then we ran around the parking lot with high knees, butt kicks, side shuffles, football runs, and sprints. Yeouch. Then we split into groups and did bicep curls and lunges. Then we did tricep dips on the bleachers and more jumping squats. Oh, I forgot (or perhaps my mind is trying to make me forget) this one thing we did where you wrap the bandy thing around your waist and pull a partner across the parking lot. That (and the warmup) were the hardest things. I am proud that I did it, but it was MUCH harder than expected. I don't think the humidity helped, either. At least I didn't break my barf streak. That's the true test.

The boys and I went to Reston Town Center today to see Mr. Knick Knack. They were not impressed. Give us the library dorky guy anytime. Mr. Knick Knack is just too frou frou for us. Since we were there, we surprised Bampa for a visit, then had lunch at Mommy's school with our friend Laura. I love me some Bagel Cafe.

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
