My kids are cute

Picture of Owen (taken by Henry) in the kitchen. This was followed by a few pictures of the toilet - flushing, not flushing, surrounding, etc. Lovely.

Here is a picture of Henry painting the snow blue. I was so hip and put some blue food dye in some water and they sprayed the snow blue. Hello, pinterest!

Cutie Char painting snow.

Owen, working hard shoveling.

This is a picture of the kids inside a teepee at Ticonderoga Farms meditating. I thought they were hilarious. "Ommmmm"

Charlotte portrait by Owen, on the porch last weekend. After our snowfall, we had lovely spring weather on Saturday and Sunday. Ready for real spring!!!

It's been a very long while....

Every day I say, "I need to blog!" And every day, I don't. I just run out of time. Or, I spend too much time browsing Reddit snd don't generally use my time wisely. I'm going to try and be better. I had a good idea for some new blogging ideas, but then our work scanner broke and I can't upload what I wanted to. I took some new pictures of the kids but haven't looked for the camera cord to upload them. I want to come back and use my blog to help motivate me to lose those few pounds I've put back on and continue to work toward my ww goal, but people keep bringing me food and I'm so tirrreeedddddd. If I could take a day off and just sleep, you bet I would.

What is new? You know I love me some bullets:
- Boys are more than halfway through Kindergarten. They are starting to like it. Took them a while to get used to, but they have made some good friends and are learning a TON. They played soccer this fall, basketball in the winter, and are starting baseball this Saturday.

Owen's art - "Everybody likes presidents" and "A long time ago George Washington led the Revolutionary War."
Henry's art!

- Charlotte is doing well, too. She spends her mornings here at school with us in the preschool classroom. She is the "community peer" in the special education program. She is in a classroom of 8 boys and has a good time with her wonderful teachers. She spends her afternoons at a neighborhood mom's house with a couple babies that she loves. She is "learning" Arabic there and frequently gives us language demonstrations.

- Mom and Dad (thats us) are doing fine. Frequently day dreaming about moving to Bermuda, planning a non-hostile takeover of a local daycare, deciding what to get our PhD's in, and keeping the house from falling apart. We moved, too. And promptly painted the walls the brightest colors ever! (Over compensation?) We now have a 2 car garage, a big backyard, a wonderful front porch, and a comfy new couch. Plus we live just few blocks to our school. Which we still drive to every day. *sigh*

That's our update. Must. Do. Better. Maybe I can make a blog update part of my daily life like it used to be. Hm. We shall see. I know Mamere would enjoy it.

Hugs and kisses.

Broken!

My poor, sweet Charlotte has our family's first broken bone. I was carrying her down the stairs when I slipped and fell and landed on her leg. She has a broken tibia and is pitiful and adorable and it's so sad.

Charlotte's Birthday Weekend

Charlotte's birthday started off by checking out her many presents on the table. She got to open one that morning, a movie. Boys = jealous.
The cupcakes:

Too shy to blow out her own candles!?
Later that night, without the added pressure of friends, she did blow out her own:

 Meanwhile, in boyland....
 Char's pretty ice cream dress!
 Posin':
Sunday we went to see a play with gaga, here is Char in all her birthday glory - sunglasses, ice cream dress, necklace, bracelet, and fruit snacks.
Getting ready for the play to start:

Lovely portrait taken by a boy:
The rest of the pictures I downloaded (300 of them) all look similar to this one. Owen just snap-snap-snapped away the whole way home. I'll spare you.

Pacifier Woes

My birthday princess turns 3 in 4 days....we have been talking a long time about giving up her pacifier when she turns three. She only uses it at night, so this morning when she made her way to our bedroom without it, we stood our ground and wouldn't let her go back to her room to get it (unless she wanted to go back to bed, that was a choice). It was a rough 30 minutes of crying, hitting, and anger. But look how cute she is:

Man, I officially suck at this blogging thing.

Welp, I am having a hard time getting over here to blog. Just feeling busy. Not even taking that many pictures. Well, I have some on my camera phone to share. Cute ones. TIME FOR SOME BULLET POINT UPDATES. GO!
- The boys and girl had a Mother's Day show this week. All of their classmates sang/danced. My 3 children (who have a music teacher for a mother) did nothing. Afterwards, I said to Charlotte, "I liked your song" and she said "I didn't sing. I put my fingers in my mouth." Yep. I have the video to prove it. Luckily for us, she has been singing the songs on endless repeat since then.
- I threw up again. It was awful. And I am hoping this does not turn into a routine, considering I went 18 years and now am on track to throw up again in September of 2013.
- Boys have been playing soccer and they are doing awesome. Todd and I are coaching, and have been having a fun time. Go Cheetahs!
- Charby's birthday is coming up in 3 weeks!
- There are 26 days of school left! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
- I weighed in last week after not weighing in for 2.5 months and I was down 0.2! Holla!
- Some pictures:
Me and Katie at the Legwarmers Concert - a fun 80's band that we saw a few weeks ago - super fun:
 Owen, posing:
 Charlotte....um....posing:
Henry, at the Urgent Care getting his staple (he bumped his head):
Calvin, after finding out he still has testicles. He feels bad for lying to us all these years:

Catch up!

Oh man, I can't even remember when this picture is from - sometime after Christmas. I think. Here is Gaga and Papa with all of their grandbabies:
And then all of us attempting a pose (and missing Rob!):
Spring is here! Dinner on the deck with BFFS!:
The kids are super addicted to iPads, iPhones, and everything else electronic:
 Lollipops!
We went to Bethany Beach for a mini-vacay. It was freezing, but fun:

Laughing in the car

This morning driving to school I laughed out loud twice - once when the newscaster said, "These are three words that NO ONE wants to ever hear: Birth Control Recall!" And then again when the other newscaster said, "If you need more information about your growing belly, go to this link." Ah, I love it when we can insert a little humor into our mundane lives.

No wednesday weigh-in last night because I am switching my weigh-in day to Mondays. It won't be as alliterative, but maybe I can think of a new title. Wuh-Monday Weigh-in. Hm.

I joined a choir called Voce and I am going to combine the fun of singing with my weigh-in day so I don't have to have 2 nights away per week. I am going to miss my leader, Becky, but maybe this new meeting day and time and leader will give me new inspiration to lose that final 17 pounds.

Bathtub woes

I took an epsom salt bath. It was a humiliating experience. But it actually did help my symptoms. Unfortunately, shoving my fat ass into a m...
